We are committed to the health and well-being of our residents and staff. As part of our commitment to care, McGuffey Healthcare has long supported vaccinations. We have and will continue to hold vaccination clinics for residents and staff as well as education sessions. There has been an outpouring of support and participants.

Recently, the federal government announced a series of actions to help nursing homes better protect their residents and employees. Facilities funded by Medicare and Medicaid will now require staff vaccinations. Like all federal and state requirements, McGuffey Healthcare will follow all regulations set forth and do all we can to promote health and safety in our facility and our community.

At this time, the federal plan for nursing home employee vaccinations has not been announced. We will have to wait until details are released before we can fully understand the mandate and how it will be implemented. However, we will continue our vaccination efforts and follow all safety precautions.

If you or your loved one we care for is not vaccinated, we encourage you to consider vaccination and learn more about the available COVID-19 vaccines from credible, evidence-based sources. Vaccination is important for protecting yourself and those you love. Again, thank you for allowing us to provide care for your loved one and your continued support during this pandemic.
